You Get What You Pay For!

I recently ordered from this online site called http://www.rosegal.com for the first time.  I saw an ad for it on the sidebar on facebook and there was a really cute dress on the ad so I went to check it out.  I was thinking to myself, “omg it’s so cheap.  This is a steal, I must buy!”

I ended up ordering two dresses, and it came in the mail today.  I was very, VERY disappointed.  It looked NOTHING like the pictures online.  Not only that, but the dresses took around 3 weeks to arrive.  Here are pictures of what it showed on the site and how it really looked.

before

This dress was really weird.  It has this weird flap that goes down and it just looks out of place.  I took the picture at that angle to show you how the flap looks.  It is supposed to be a little detailing on the side, but the dress just looked awkward.

after

This dress was WAY too short.  The cut of the dress is also very different from what the picture shows.  The dress is supposed to be long, but it only comes up to my knees.  The front of the dress is also too short.  it barely covers my…. lady parts.  I understand if I was tall and I had this problem, but I’m only 5 feet tall.

I am not a type of person to write a bad review about a company, but I just had a really bad experience with them.  Normally if I don’t want something, I will just return it,  which is what I tried to do.  I called their USA help hotline a couple of times, and no one picks up.  When I tried to leave a voice mail, there was no more room.  I decided to email them, and that was just as bad.  Don’t know if they were having a glitch, but I couldn’t submit my email.  It just kept saying “This website is not available.” I know for sure it’s not my internet because I was able to go on facebook and wordpress while trying to submit this email.

After trying over 10 more times to submit the email, it finally worked.  Overall, I think they have really bad customer service, and the pictures on the site are very misleading.  Then again, you get what you pay for right?  It’s okay; lesson learned.  This is just my own personal experience.  It may have been a better experience for someone else.  Just wanted to share my experience with you guys in case you were thinking about ordering from that site.

-Sincerely Aimee

  1. Eeek! Sorry you learned the hard way. I’m always wary of these sorts of things including the hair growth vitamins that I keep seeing being advertised on Instagram. I’m glad you shared this because people should be very careful using sites which can’t be trusted.
