Denim on Denim

IMG_20150821_114638

Now that it’s starting to get cooler, it’s time to pull out the jeans!  Today I decided to pair my favorite denim jeans with a light blue denim button up.  I love the denim on denim look, but I find that it’s more wearable when it’s two different shades of blue.  Wearing the same shade of blue for the top and bottom is too “matchy-matchy” for me.

To make this outfit less plain, I added my pink pumps.  When I picture denim, it reminds me of what construction workers would wear.  I thought a pop of pink would make this look a little more feminine.

I wanted to keep this look simple without too much accessories so I wore what I’d wear everyday; white gold necklace from my grandma, David Yurman bracelet from my boyfriend and a simple gold ring.

  1. Hey 🙂

Oh, what a lovely look! Denim on denim looks so nice and the pumps just add that little bit of pop to the entire outfit. 😀

    You’re so prett, too! 🙂

    Have a nice day!

  2. You always look so fantastic! Love the different washes of denim, and the pink heels are a special twist!

  3. Your outfit is so beautiful, love the idea of the pink shoes with the jeans, and I like that the jeans shirt has a different shade than the pants 🙂
