Sweater and Boyfriend Jeans

When I took pictures the other day, it was a surprisingly warm and beautiful day.  Of course when I was getting ready in the morning, I had no idea it was going to be warm since the day before was freezing.  Actually the whole week was freezing so I didn’t find the need to check the weather.

I don’t mess around with the cold.  I layered on as much as I could without looking bulky.  I even wore a heattech under my sweater.  I know you can’t see it, but it’s there.  For those who don’t know what a heattech is, it’s an innerwear that locks in the heat to keep you warm.  It’s also smooth and thin so it doesn’t show under your clothes and doesn’t make you look bulky.  I’m sure there are plenty of shirts with this technology out there but mine is from Uniqlo.

On top of the heattech, I have a warm neutral colored sweater.  From afar, you can’t really notice the cross detailing on the shirt but when you take a look closer, you can see the subtle prints.  It’s almost like the Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies painting by  Claude Monet.  From afar you can only see some colors, but up close you see all the different colors brush strokes that was used and how brilliantly it was executed.  Did I really just compare this sweater to a famous painting?  It was just the first thing that popped into my head.

Okay, back to the outfit.  I wore a dark blue cardigan on top of the sweater because I wanted to add a pop of color to the outfit. If you look closely,  There is a shimmery trim on the front and where the pocket is.  I just love these subtle detailing!

The circle scarf has geometric shapes, which I love.  The pop of colors and shapes goes perfectly with the solid colors I’m wearing.

I know I’m a little late, but these are my first pairs of boyfriend jeans!  Ripped boyfriend jeans has been trending lately but I haven’t found the perfect one till recently.  If you have read some of my other outfit posts, you probably know that I like a moderate amount of rips on my jeans.  The only ones I found before were ones that had too much rips or too little rips.

To finish off the outfit, I’m wearing my suede beige/taupe wedges.  When wearing boyfriend jeans, I like to roll up the hem.  These wedges landed perfectly right below my ankles.

So that completes my look!  This was an outfit I threw on last minute but it turned out to be my favorite yet!  Here is where I got everything.

Sweater:  Charlotte Russe

Cardigan:  Forever 21

Boyfriend Jeans:  Charlotte Russe

Wedges:  Steve Madden

Scarf:  Charlotte Russe
